Day 1: Welcome to Peru!

Upon arriving in Lima, you will be picked up and taken to your hotel.

Day 2: Colonial And Modern Lima & Visit To The Larco Museum *

Known as The City of Kings, Lima has many iconic places to visit. Combining the modern and colonial parts of the city, you will start this experience by visiting the beautiful districts of Miraflores and San Isidro, and passing along one of the most known "huaca" or sacred pre-Inca site, before heading to the Historic Center. Once there, you will walk along some of the most important streets of the city by the time, that leads to the historical Plaza de Armas, where you will have enough time to take pictures of the amazing colonial architecture that surrounds it. Then, you will also have the chance to take a peek into an iconic building, that has served Lima's citizens for centuries and continues to be an important landmark. As this experience continues, you will visit the impressive Convent of Santo Domingo, an astonishing building with colonial style. After exploring the Historical Center, you will head towards the Larco Museum, house of the incomparable Treasures of Ancient Peru private collection.

Day 3: Cusco City Tour & Nerby Ruins

You will enjoy a delicious breakfast and, at the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the Lima international airport to board your flight to Cusco.

Today you will visit the city of Cusco, also known as the Imperial City and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The tour starts at the Koricancha Temple, an ancient Inca palace and cult center of the Sun God, above which the order of the Dominicans built a church, which remains standing to this day. Then, you will visit the Plaza de Armas, where you will visit the Cathedral, the most important temple in the city. Continue ascending to the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, an impressive example of Inca military architecture. Afterwards, you will visit Kenko, an archaeological site where the Sun, Moon and Stars were celebrated. Continue with a visit to Puca-Pucara, place that would have served as "tambo" or resting place and lodging of the Inca. Finally, you will visit the art workshop Inka's Expression, where you will appreciate a sample of the various uses of Peruvian natural products (plants, fruits, vegetables, among others) and will know their nutritional, healing and cosmetic properties.

Day 4: Ollantaytambo Fortress

After breakfast, you will have a full day excursion to enjoy some highlights in Urubamba, the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It starts by a visit to the colorful market of Pisac, where you can appreciate a blend of color, traditional art crafts, and local people. Then, the tour goes on to Ollantaytambo, where you will enjoy the panoramic view of the most ancient and continuously occupied village in the American continent, and visit the amazing Ollantaytambo Fortress, built by Inca Pachacutec in the XVI century. Then, the excursion continues to the Maras salt mines, which were constructed in the slope of a mountain in Pre-Incan times.

Day 5: Machu Picchu

Buffet breakfast.

At the scheduled time, you will be transferred from Sacred Valley hotels to Ollantaytambo station.

This day holds what is bound to be the highlight of your visit to Cusco: Machu Picchu. As one of the most renowned and beautiful must-see destinations of the world, it’s no wonder it welcomes over 1 million tourists every year! Your adventure starts with an early train ride towards Aguas Calientes, a picturesque village at the foot of Machu Picchu citadel. Once you arrive it’s only a short bus ride up the mountain and you’ll find yourself standing before one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World and one of the most important energy centers. It will be an unforgettable sight! You’ll set off to explore the citadel with its unique ruins, terraces and photogenic alpacas. From the highest hills you’ll be able to take in the unbelievable spectacle that is Machu Picchu seen from above. After soaking up the magical energy (and with plenty of photographs to show!) you’ll head back down to Aguas Calientes to have a delicious lunch and finally board the Vistadome train back to Cusco.

Day 6: From Cusco to Puno

At the scheduled time, you will be transferred from Cusco hotel to the bus station to start a mesmerizing trip by bus to Puno, enjoying the wonderful landscapes of the South Valley of Cusco on the way. First, you will visit Andahuaylillas, where you will find the church of San Pedro, a beautiful seventeenth century building that has an impressive organ, decorated with angels and cherubs. Then, visit the ruins of Raqchi -also known as The Temple of God Wiracocha- which have different areas that were used for various purposes. At the end of this visit, you will enjoy a delicious and typical buffet lunch at a local restaurant. Then, you will head towards La Raya, the highest point between Cusco and Puno, where you will make a brief stop to appreciate the landscape. Finally, you will arrive at the bus station in Puno.

Day 7: Uros Island & Kasani

The adventure begins early in the morning as you head out of the city of Puno towards the famous Uros Islands, an impressive set of man-made floating islands in the middle of the lake Titicaca. Here, you will meet the islanders, hunters and gatherers and descendants of the first altiplano inhabitants, who still live on totora reed platforms and travel across the lake on handicrafted rafts. Afterwards you will be taken back to Puno and then to your hotel. Later, you will be transferred towards south along the western shore of Lake Titicaca through the picturesque villages of Pomata and July, the tour continues to Kasani border in Bolivia.

Once there, you will be picked up by private transport and head towards Copacabana; a pleasant town in the shores of Lake Titicaca. You will visit its church and the famous "Virgen Morena". Followed by a boat trip crossing the Lake to the Island of the Sun (1 hour) until Huacani to have an Aptapi (typical lunch in the highlands), this trip continues by boat up till to the ruins of Pilkokaina Inca temple Finally hike to La Estancia with a wonderful view of Lake Titicaca (1 hour approximately).

Day 8: Sun & Moon Island

Today you will have an excellent oportunity to watch one of the most beautiful sunrises! Start with a hike down through Yumani visiting the Inca stairs and the Water of the Eternal Youth, then have a trip to the Island of the Moon (30 minutes) and the Inca ruins of Iñak Uyu temple to finally reach Copacabana (1 hour and a half). A private transportation will take you to La Paz (3 hours and a half).

Day 9: La Paz City Tour

A 4 hours city tour through La Paz, elected as one of the 7 wonder cities in the world. It is located in a valley at the foothills of the Andes Range, situated at 3,632m / 11942 ft. above sea level. The tour goes through the street markets rich in handicrafts, weavings and witchcraft items, followed by a visit to the colonial section of the city, San Francisco Church, Gold Museum, Murillo Square and the viewpoint "Mirador de Killi Killi". Then descending to the more modern, southern part of La Paz to reach and visit the Valley of the Moon, where a clay mountain has been impressively shaped by erosion. Ride by cable car “Teleférico”, it’s a good choice to discover an excellent and beautiful view of La Paz. This is a must for everyone!

Day 10: Uyuni Salt Flats

At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the airport to board the departure flight.

Upon arrival, assistance and departure from Uyuni to the great salt flats; visit on the way, the Train Cemetery where the remains of 19th and 20th century steam locomotives are. stop in Colchani as this is the best place to observe the methods of salt extraction; next to Incahuasi Island (known as Fish Island), this is an oasis with a unique and isolated ecosystem that is populated by giant cactus up to 10 meters high. Continue north to visit the pre-Columbian Pucara de Ayque fort and the nearby chullpares on the foothills of Thunupa volcano. Finally, at an appropriate time, you will go back to Uyuni village.

Half Day Artistic & Bohemian Barranco (Private Service)

You will visit Barranco, a district with enormous tradition and history, full of beautiful streets, old houses and small plazas. Stroll through the famous "Bridge of Sighs", where you can feel the energy of ancient Lima. Then, you will go to the Barranco Square, where locals perform different activities during the week. Afterwards, you will visit the Pedro de Osma museum where you can appreciate the finest collection of paintings, furniture and textiles from the colonial era. The tour will continue with a visit to MATE, museum of the renowned photographer Mario Testino, where the most extensive collection of his photographs is shown, being the only cultural institution in the world dedicated to the permanent exhibition of the work of this outstanding Peruvian artist.
