Itinerary:

Explore the largest Salt Flats in the World! Marvel at its beautiful heaven alike landscapes and don't miss the chance to take the most amazing pictures. Amaze at the rich history of Sucre.

Day 1: Welcome to Bolivia!

Start with a trip from La Paz heading to southwest through the highlands by bus to Oruro (approximately 3 hour and a half). Then, you will take a train to Uyuni (6-7 hours), crossing a large portion of the highlands.

Overnight: Los Jardines de Uyuni hotel 

Day 2: Uyuni Salt Flats 

Today you will head towards Colchani, to see the locals producing salt. Enter this natural wonder of nature with over 10,000 km2, crossing to the “Isla Incahuasi” (2 hours), a special habitat of volcanic rock and giant cactus. Then, you will go towards north to see Pucara de Ayque in the foothills of the Tunupa volcano. Finally, you will return to Uyuni (2 hours),

Overnight: Los Jardines de Uyuni hotel 

Day 3: Potosi

Start with a bus trip crossing branches of the Andes Range with beautiful landscapes, old mines and Indian villages as you reach Potosi (4 hours).

At afternoon, you will visit the colonial city. There, you will see the Mint House on Thursday or Colonial church and museum on Sunday, and the local market.

Day 4: Cerro Rico Mines 

Today you will experience an unforgettable trip hundreds of meters underground, to see the living and working conditions of the Bolivian miners (protective clothing and helmets are provided). There, you will explore the silver mine, located in the famous Cerro Rico, once the richest of the world.

At afternoon, you will ride a bus to Sucre (approximately 3 hours), a nice colonial city set in the lower valleys.

Day 5: Sucre

This charming colonial city lies at the head of the valley at 2700 meters high. Here, you will visit the Casa de la Libertad, where the Act of Independence of Bolivia was signed in 1825; the Bolivar Park, to see examples of the aristocratic tradition of Sucre, with small replicas of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc of Triumph of Paris; the church and museum of La Recoleta, and the museum of Indian Textiles ASUR.

Day 6: Farewell
