Itinerary:

Marvel at the beautiful view of the Colorful Lagoon and its wildlife and don't miss the chance of take the most amazing pictures in the heaven alike Uyuni Salt Flats landscape.

Day 1: Welcome to Bolivia!

On arrival, you will be picked up and assisted in La Paz airport.

Overnight in La Paz

Day 2: Tiwanaku Ruins & Valley of the Moon

Today you will head to Tiwanaku, passing the highlands, one of the oldest American cultures, considered the cradle of the American man. You will visit the temple of Kalasasaya, Gate of the Sun, the monoliths Ponce and Fraile, the Akapana pyramid and Semiunderground temple, as well as the local museums where you will see pottery, stonework and learn about the culture.

At afternoon, you will have a 4 hours city tour through La Paz, elected as one of the 7 wonder cities in the world. It is located in a valley at the foothills of the Andes Range, situated at 3,632m / 11942 ft. above sea level. The tour goes through the street markets rich in handicrafts, weavings and witchcraft items, followed by a visit to the colonial section of the city, San Francisco Church, Gold Museum, Murillo Square and the viewpoint "Mirador de Killi Killi". Then descending to the more modern, southern part of La Paz to reach and visit the Valley of the Moon, where a clay mountain has been impressively shaped by erosion.

Day 3: Train Cemetery

You will be transferred to La Paz airport to take your flight to Uyuni. On your arrival, you will be picked up and assisted.

At 10:00 am start with a trip towards south visiting the cemetery of old trains, then through the highlands, passing the villages of San Cristobal, Culpina K until the high and rich valley of Alota (3 hours) and the areas with great stone formations done by the erosion. Finally, you will continue through high valleys until the village of Villamar (1 hour).

Day 4: Colourful Lagoons 

Long day! Start with an early morning trip towards the REA (National Reserve Eduardo Abaroa), where you will visit the Laguna Colourada (2 hours), declared a RAMSAR site due to the nesting of over 30,000 flamingos at 4,278 m. Then, you will head towards the geysers “Sol de Mañana", passing alongside the Challviri lagoon, with its hot spring in the shores of Polques. Then, you will cross through the high desert of Pampas de Dali, where you will have amazing views, to finally reach Laguna Verde (3 hours), in the foothills of the Licancabur Mountain. Finally, you will trip back to Laguna Colourada, enter into the high deserts of Siloli, visiting Arbol de Piedra to finally reach Ojos de Perdiz (4 hours)

Day 5: Uyuni Salt Flats

An early morning trip will head you towards north through the minor lagoons: Hedionda and Cañapa. Continue east, through branches of the range, reaching the valley of Alota (3 hours). Afterwards, you will go through the highlands passing the villages of San Agustin and San Juan (2 hours), reaching Chuvica to get into the great Uyuni salt flat. There, you will go to "Isla Incahuasi" (1 hour), a special habitat of volcanic rocks and giant cactus. Finally, you will continue to east to the village of Colchani (2 hours), where the locals produce salt and where you will enjoy a beautiful sunset.

Day 6: Titicaca Lake

A transfer will take you from Colchani to Uyuni’s airport to take your flight back. On arrival to La Paz you will be assisted at the airport to start an pleasant trip by private transportation going towards north through the highlands, along the Titicaca Lake and parallel to the Andes Royal Range crossing the Tiquina strait (the narrowest part in the Lake -30 minutes by motorized wooden boat) until Copacabana, a picturesque town in the shores of Lake. Visit to its church and the famous "Virgen Morena". Afterwards, take a boat trip crossing the Lake to the Island of the Sun (approximately 1 hour) until Huacani to have an Aptapi (typical lunch in the highlands). The journey continues by boat up untill the ruins of Pilkokaina Inca temple. Finally, mesmerising hike to La Estancia with a wonderful view of Lake Titicaca (1 hour and a half approximately).

Overnight in Sun Island

Day 7: Moon Island*

Today you will have an excellent oportunity to watch one of the most beautiful sunrises! Get aboard and head to La Chincana (1 hour), to see this great Inca ruins, continue by boat (1 hour) to the Moon Island and visit the Iñak Uyu ruins. The boat journey continues to Copacabana (1 hour and a half). Finally, at scheluded time, you will head back to La Paz through by the same road (3 hours and a half). A cable car ride it’s a good choice to discover an excellent and beautiful view of La Paz.

Day 8: Farewell

After enjoying breakfast, you will be trasnferred to the airport to take your flight.

 Day 7: Moon Island

Today you will have an excellent oportunity to watch one of the most beautiful sunrises! Start with a hike down through Yumani visiting the Inca stairs and the Water of the Eternal Youth. Then, have a trip to the Island of the Moon (30 minutes) and the Inca ruins of Iñak Uyu temple to finally reach Copacabana (1 hour and a half). A transportation will take you back to La Paz through the same road (3 hour and a half). A cable car ride it’s a good choice to discover an excellent and beautiful view of La Paz.
