Itinerary:

Marvel at the beautiful view of the Colorful Lagoon and its wildlife, don't miss the chance of take the most amazing pictures in the heaven alike Uyuni Salt Flats landscape. Explore the picturesque streets of Bolivian cities and learn all the history of Bolivia in this 8-day adventure.

Day 1: Welcome to Santa Cruz!

At your arrival, you will be transferred from the airport to the Santa Cruz hotel.

In the afternoon, half day tour through the most representative places of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, a city with geographical, historical and cultural features that distinguish it from the Andean region of the country. The city is built in circles called "Anillos” (rings) that extend out from "Apple One", the central point of the concentric hart of the city. On the way, you will pass through the modern residential area in constant growth. After an overview of the main monuments in the city which are in the second ring, visit a museum in the historic center, La Recoba and Artecampo craft shops, too. One of the highlights will be the "24 de Septiembre" square to visit the Cathedral of San Lorenzo with its imposing facade and a beautiful interior with more than 400 years old.

Overnight in Santa Cruz

Day 2: Sucre

You will be transferred to the airport to take the flight to Sucre. At your arrival, you will be assisted and be transferred to your hotel.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Casa de la Libertad, where the Act of Independence of Bolivia was signed in 1825; the Bolivar Park, to see examples of the aristocratic tradition of Sucre, with small replicas of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc of Triumph of Paris; the church and museum of La Recoleta, and the museum of Indian Textiles ASUR.

Day 3: Potosi City Tour

An early private transfer will take you from Sucre, in a 3-hours trip by an amazing road starting in the valleys at 2,759 m.a.s.l. / 9.020 ft. You will reach Pilcomayo river and see the Puente Arce (a pending bridge used in past), go up to the to the highlands at 4,060 m.a.s.l. /13.320 ft, and reach the famous colonial mining city of Potosi.

At afternoon you will start by visiting Potosí in a journey back in time through traditional colonial streets and the artisan market; the famous Mint House, San Francisco church and the front of San Lorenzo (its facade) church that has one of the greatest examples of stone carvings of the baroque-mestizo style.

Day 4: Uyuni Salt Flats

Today you will departure from Uyuni to the great salt flats. On the way, you will visit the train cemetery where the remains of 19th and 20th century steam locomotives are. Then, you will stop in Colchani, as this is the best place to observe the methods of salt extraction. Afterwards, you will head to the Incahuasi Island (known as Fish Island), an oasis with a unique and isolated ecosystem that is populated by giant cactus up to 10 meters high. Then, you will continue north to visit the mummies of Pukara de Ayque fort. Finally, at appropriate time go back to Uyuni village.

Overnight in Colchani

Day 5: Titicaca Lake

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Uyuni’s airport to take a flight to La Paz. On arrival you will be assisted and picked up into a nice trip by private transportation heading towards north through the highlands. On the way, you will pass along the Titicaca Lake and parallel to the Andes Royal Range reaching Copacabana (3 hour and a half), a pleasant town in the shores of Lake. There, you will visit to its church and the famous "Virgen Morena". Afterwards, you will jump into a boat trip crossing the Lake to the Island of the Sun (1 hour) until Huacani, where yo will have an Aptapi (typical lunch in the highlands). You will continue by boat up to the ruins of Pilkokaina Inca temple. and finally, a hike to La Estancia with a wonderful view of Lake Titicaca (1 hour approximately).

Overnight in Sun Island

Day 6: Moon Island*

Today you will have an excellent opportunity to watch one of the most beautiful sunrises! Get aboard and head to La Chincana (1 hour), to see this great Inca ruins, continue by boat (1 hour) to the Moon Island and visit the Iñak Uyu ruins. The boat trip continues to Copacabana (1 hour and a half). Finally, at scheduled time, you will head back to La Paz through by the same road (3 hours and a half). Once there, a cable car ride it’s a good choice to discover an excellent and beautiful view of La Paz.

Day 7: La Paz City Tour & Valley of the Moon

Today you will have a 4 hours city tour through La Paz, elected as one of the 7 wonder cities in the world. It is located in a valley at the foothills of the Andes Range, situated at 3,632m / 11942 ft. above sea level. The tour goes through the street markets rich in handicrafts, weavings and witchcraft items, followed by a visit to the colonial section of the city, San Francisco Church, Gold Museum, Murillo Square and the viewpoint "Mirador de Killi Killi". Then, you will descend to the modern, southern part of La Paz to reach and visit the Valley of the Moon, where a clay mountain has been impressively shaped by erosion.

Day 8: Farewell

After enjoying breakfast you will be picked up and transferred to the airport.

Day 6: Moon Island

Today you will have an excellent opportunity to watch one of the most beautiful sunrises! Start with a hike down through Yumani, visiting the Inca stairs Water of the Eternal Youth. Then, have a trip to the Island of the Moon (30 minutes) and the Inca ruins of Iñak Uyu temple to finally reach Copacabana (1 hour and a half). A transportation will take you back to La Paz through the same road (3 hour and a half). A cable car ride it’s a good choice to discover an excellent and beautiful view of La Paz.
