Chile & Argentina: Lake Crossing 9 Days from MIA

Day 1:  Santiago

Arrival at Santiago airport. We will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. Please, look for the sign with your name on it - private service with guide. Santiago is a dynamic and cosmopolitan city, home to many events showcasing the best of Chilean culture. It is also home to magnificent sound, flavor and color international festivals. The Chilean capital gives new life to all its visitors! The city's diversity shines through in its many contrasting neighborhoods. Head out to explore the city streets and discover beautiful and original art galleries, designer shops and craft markets, as well as a great selection of restaurants and coffee shops.

Check in from 3:00 p.m.

In the afternoon, we invite you to enjoy a delicious authentic Chilean dinner at Divertimento Chileno restaurant.

Day 2: Santiago – City tour and Vineyard 

Santiago de Chile was founded in 1541 by the Spanish conquers, creating a vast legacy we invite you to discover. You will visit the main attractions where our history has unfolded and explore its evolution with different styles and influences - a harmonious mix between old and modern architecture. Then, you will move towards the city's heart, the Plaza de Armas or Main Square, surrounded by important buildings such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Central Post Office, and Santiago's City Hall. You will continue the tour to the Government Palace, the Plaza de la Constitucion, and some old neighborhoods such as Plaza Concha y Toro. Finally, you will visit the city's eastern side, where you can appreciate modern constructions and the significant changes in the landscape they have generated in the surrounding neighborhoods. Lunch at a local restaurant. Later you will visit one of the famous vineyards near the city: Cousiño Macul or Viña Concha y Toro. Vineyard tour and reserve wine tasting - Return to the hotel.

Day 3:  Santiago, Puerto Montt, Puerto Varas

After breakfast, we will transfer you to Santiago's airport for your flight to Puerto Montt. Private service without a guide.

Once in Puerto Montt, we will take you to your hotel located in Puerto Varas. Shared service without a guide.

Located on Lake Llanquihue banks, Puerto Varas is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Chile, with an evident German influence. Founded in the mid-19th century, it characterizes for its tourist approach from its beginnings. Today it offers the traveler a beautiful landscape, a good hotel and gastronomic infrastructure, a modern gaming casino, a lake beach, and, in summer, various outdoor cultural activities. In the afternoon:

• The tour order may vary as it adapts to your flight's arrival time. If your flight arrives at noon, it can be combined directly with the city tour.

 HALF-DAY TOUR PUERTO MONTT & PUERTO VARAS - Shared Service

We will start the tour of Puerto Varas, also known as the City of Roses, with a stop on the waterfront to appreciate the city's view from the bay and the "Aurora" sculpture with Lake Llanquihue in the background.

We will visit its main tourist attractions, such as the Sacred Heart of Jesus church, built between 1915 and 1918 with a Monumental Baroque style. It's a replica of a Church in the Black Forest in Germany, where some settlers who arrived in the area in 1852 were born. We will also visit the Old Quarter, where the first German immigrants settled. After that, we will descend towards the downtown sector bordering the beautiful Llanquihue Lake to see - if the weather allows it - the imposing Osorno Volcano, which melting provides water to Lake Llanquihue every day.

We continue our tour by taking the Ruta de Los Colonos, passing through Alerce town, accessing Puerto Montt, and visiting its highest point with a beautiful panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and Tenglo Island. From there, we will go to the Monument to the German Colonists, located in front of the Plaza de Armas or Main Square, the waterfront pier, and its Cathedral, enjoying its architectural heritage and the mixture of cultures along the way. Later, we will continue in the direction of the Angelmó sector, famous in our country for its large number of Craft Shops and the Fishermen's Cove. After the visit, you will go back to your hotel.

Day 4: Puerto Varas

HALF DAY TOUR: LANQUIHUE & FRUTILLAR – Shared Service

 We will get to know this charming lakeside destination, where Lake Lanquihue and various volcanoes are part of the landscape. There it is possible to perceive the German settlers' heritage, with spectacular old mansions (many converted into lodgings), delicious Bavarian cuisine, and kuchenes or apple strudel pastries.

Located on the west bank of Lake Llanquihue, Frutillar enchants with its beauty all year round. On our tour, we will access a rural road used by farmers in the area to observe the agricultural and livestock local activity. You will have the chance to see the famous Teatro del Lago - one more reason to fall in love with Frutillar.

Day 5: Puerto Varas – Andean crossing - Bariloche (Argentina)

At the settled time, we will transfer you from your hotel to the meeting point to depart for a bi-country full-day tour: AndeanLakes Crossing, from Puerto Varas in Chile to Bariloche in Argentina.

You will enjoy this unique journey that navigates the Andes Mountains through 3 beautiful lakes connected by 4 land sections, which goes from Puerto Varas in Chile to San Carlos de Bariloche in Argentina. A trip that takes place every day of the year, revealing landscapes with a beauty that crosses the most colorful sector of Patagonia.

Day 6: Bariloche (Argentina)

HALF DAY CIRCUITO CHICO EXCURSION

After breakfast, at the scheduled time, we will begin the Circuito Chico excursion with the best panoramic views. We will border Nahuel Huapi Lake along E. Bustillo Avenue, where we can see Playa Bonita and Huemul Island. After traveling ten kilometers enjoying different landscapes, you will reach Cerro Campanario. The chairlift on-site will take you to the summit (1,050 m) to see one of the region's most beautiful views (the ascent is optional). As the tour continues, at km 18, we take a detour towards El Trébol lagoon, Moreno Lake, and a panoramic point. We will explore the area by a low-intensity walk along the Arrayanes Trail in the Llao Llao Municipal Reserve, surrounded by Coihue forests and lush vegetation that stand out. We will visit the Puerto Pañuelo area, the great Llao Llao Hotel, and the San Eduardo Chapel. After the whole tour, we return to Bariloche along Av. Bustillo, always following the lake. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 7: Bariloche - Buenos Aires 

After breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport to take the flight to Buenos Aires.

TANGO SHOW AT CAFE DE LOS ANGELITOS

Once at your destination, enjoy dinner and a Tango show at Café de los Angelitos, and witness more than one hundred years of local history. Every night, 21 artists on stage invite you to share a unique experience, covering luxuriously and distinguishably an entire dancing era.

Day 8: Buenos Aires

HALF DAY PREMIUM CITY TOUR

After breakfast, we will experience the Premium City Tour. This excursion explores Buenos Aires at its fullest, showing city sectors enjoyed by local porteños, such as Tres de Febrero Park, the hippodrome, the Polo Field, and historical sectors like Plaza Italia and Plaza de Mayo. We will arrive at Recoleta to visit the worldwide recognized Cemetery (optional entrance). Some other places included in the tour are Del Pilar Church, the Cathedral, the Obelisk - a city icon - and famous avenues such as Corrientes, De Mayo, 9 de Julio, Alvear, and Del Libertador. You will visit neighborhoods full of histories like La Boca, San Telmo, sumptuous Palermo, and Recoleta; modern Puerto Madero; Lezama Park, and the Ecological Reserve. Once we finish the tour, you will have the rest of the day to enjoy as you like.

Day 9: Buenos Aires – Departure flight

After breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport to take your flight back to your destination.
