Take a tour of Cusco, the imposing Imperial City, example of the harmonious coexistence between the Andean and Spanish cultures. You will start with a visit to the Main Plaza, where you will visit the Cathedral, the most important temple in the city. Then, you will continue by foot until you reach the Koricancha Temple, an ancient Inca palace and cult center of the Sun God, on which the order of the Dominicans built a church, which remains standing to this day. Your tour will finish with a visit to the bohemian neighborhood of San Blas, also known as “the artists' district”, cradle of well-known folk artisans, with its narrow and winding streets and its popular art and knick-knacks shops.

You will visit a small and picturesque Andean town, where you will explore an important Inca archaeological site and learn about the local history. Then, you will continue to Ollantaytambo, one of the most representative architectural complexes of the Inca Empire and site of one of the Spanish Conquistadors' rare strategic defeats. You will visit one of the most important tourist destinations in the world: Machu Picchu. Your excursion starts aboard a train towards the town of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. The natural beauty of the surroundings makes the train ride the best way to start your visit. Once you arrive, you will begin the ascent to the ruins. This visit will, without a doubt, be one of your most memorable experiences. After you reach the top, you will take a tour of Machu Picchu, learning the history and mysteries of one of the Seven Wonders of the World. And, with amazing sceneries all around, you will surely have more than one spectacular photo-op. Then, it’s back to Aguas Calientes. Finally, you will board the train for the return journey. Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel.

You will be transferred from your hotel in Cusco towards Valle Sur, driving for 3 hours until reaching Cusipata and take the road to town Phulawasipata (4,626 MASL/15,177 ft.). Arriving to this community you will take a break to prepair and the start the trek skirting the route of a beautiful stream. In the ascent, you will start to enjoy beautiful landscapes and see flocks of Andean camelids as llamas and alpacas.

The highest Mountain in the region, Apu Ausangate¿, will show its majesty and you will be amazed by the mystique of the place making you feel the all the magic and energy, also, you have the opportunity to interact with the community members to learn more about their daily life. After approximately 1 and a half hours, you will arrive to the main attraction of this experience: Vinicunca, the Rainbow Mountain (5,020 MASL / 16466 ft.) you will have enough time to explore the area, take photos and renew your energy that will help you start your way back (The time in the mountaintop will be 30 minutes) After the visit to the mountain of Colors we prepare to continue the trek,for the return. The walk back will take between 1 hour until reaching the Phulawasipata community from here you will be transferred back to Cusipata for the lunch in a local restaurant , after lunch continue to Cusco.

Day 8: Shared Half Day City tour Lima

We begin our tour passing through a pre-Inca huaca or sacred place. We head towards the center of Lima, passing through the different neighborhoods of San Isidro, Lince and Cercado. We will appreciate the Palace of Justice, Museum of Lima, Museum of Italian Art, French Palace and Plaza San Martin. Our pedestrian visit begins in the Plaza de Armas where, in addition to appreciating the Cathedral of Lima, the Municipal Palace, the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace; We will have free space to take photos of the attractions. We will enter one of the most important colonial-style religious buildings. After exploring the historic center, we will return to the modern district of Miraflores, where we will have a panoramic view of Parque del Amor, the Pacific Ocean and Larcomar.
